I like to make things work ... and fix things that don't.
This site summarizes missing information and a few hacks to the ASUS EeePC.
This ultra-mobile Linux UMPC may be your first introduction to Linux.
Or, like me, you are hacking this ideal platform to create cool Linux
appliances.
Asus did a lot of things right when designing this
product. I sincerely hope the Linux and EeePC community will grow and
develop with the support of Asus to make a long run of this platform.
And I hope Asus will honor the 2 year warranty and improve on the
hardware and software without changing the form factor.
For now,
I am offering solutions to the tasks I think the majority of users
need. The answers are not easily available and the existing
documentation suffers. Even the ASUS repositories are slow to populate.
So this site is simply a summary of stable solutions to fill in the
gaps. These are based on hands on testing. Everything posted here will
be something I have executed first hand. Along the way, I will attempt
to provide enough details to comfort the new kids on the Linux block. All are welcome.
